I’ve been vacillating about actually making a blog for some time in order to host my own nonsense in case any of the various microblogging or other social media websites don’t make it, but what really pushed me was Discord refusing to serve as a CDN anymore. Bummer.
My friend あれく suggested using memos for a simple markdown blog that didn’t force me to do static site generation, which seemed neat at first, but it also came with some really weird constraints like not being able to preview posts and the way it handled uploaded media was also sort of unfortunate. So, I ended up going with good old WordPress.
